Hanover Public Schools will offer Religious Exercises & Religious Instruction in each school where sufficient parents so request. Please fill out a separate petition/permission form at the Welcome Centre for each school your children attend.  Deadline is Sunday, April 16.  (Slips distributed by Discovery Time teachers this year only gave permission for Religious Instruction.)

MCM Church Bulletin Announcements

    • For Mennonites, the conviction of non-violent peace building runs deep. It unites us as a family beyond borders. Please pray for all who grieve the insensible death of Mennonite peace worker, Michael Sharp, whose body was found in a shallow grave in Congo in late March. Michael was on a United Nations mission to investigate a new violent uprising in a remote area when he was kidnapped and killed.


  • AMBS webinars: Greg Boyd on major challenges facing the contemporary church. Facilitator Greg Boyd — a scholar, author, pastor and leading Neo-Anabaptist — will engage several Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary faculty in these interactive webinars offered by AMBS’s Church Leadership Center. The webinars will be held from 2 to 3:30 pm EDT on Thursday, April 20 (Creation in travail and creation renewed), and Thursday, May 25 (Conflict, oppression and shalom). Your first webinar is free!


  • Rooted and Grounded: A conference on land and Christian discipleship: April 20–22 at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Elkhart, Indiana. Imagine and embody alternative ways of relating to the land that cultivate shalom between human beings, the rest of creation and God. This three-day event will weave together worship, theology, biblical study and praxis. Keynote speakers: Sarah Augustine, Dr. Stanley Saunders and Todd Wynward. Cost: $100/standard, $25/students.

3.      CMU invites prayers for all of its students as they prepare for final exams and make plans for the summer and fall.


4.      The Mennonite Community Orchestra, CMU’s Resident Orchestra, with guest soloist Matthew Pauls, baritone, CMU Assistant Professor of Music, performs April 9 at 3:00 PM in the CMU Chapel, 600 Shaftesbury Blvd. Admission $15 adults and $5 students, 12 and under free.
