Church Bulletin

April 8, 2018 – 10:45 a.m.

Focus Statement: The Widow of Zarephath was not a servant of Yahweh. Despite her humble socio-economic conditions and the various risks involved, she provided shelter and food to Prophet Elijah while he was running for his life. If the window of Zarephath could sponsor a refugee at the time when she did it, how much more can (and should) we do the same today?

Welcome and Lamp Lighting

We light a light in the name of the God who creates life, the Son who loves life, and the Spirit who is the fire of life. Thanks be to God who unites us in our faith, hope, and life.

Thank you for your expressions of sympathy, your prayers, hugs and words of condolence, flowers, cards, and attendance at the funerals of our loved ones.  On Feb. 5 a brother-in-law in Calgary died, Abe's brother Mar. 3, and Susan's sister on Mar. 20.  It was good to celebrate their lives of faith and then soon after Easter which gives us the assurance of life eternal with the Lord.
